Naomi Roth is a fantasy author, artist, and freelance writer. As a child, Naomi had difficulty learning how to read but she wanted to read more than anything in the world. Due to this and her parent’s rule, that she had to read the book before she watched the movie, Naomi read books such as The Hobbit and Fellowship of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien in third grade. She went on to read many books from Cornelia Funke, C. S. Lewis, Jane Austen, Neil Gaiman, and Brandon Sanderson among others. She discovered his works when she was fifteen and that was one of the two major turning points for her to becoming a writer. The second was the COVID 19 lockdowns which switched her focus from theatre and writing to solely writing since so many theatres shut down and her current projects disappeared.
Naomi didn’t truly discover her love of writing until her junior year of college though she always had millions of ideas and tried to write stories as a kid. Naomi graduated from Eastern University with a double major in business administration and marketing as well as a minor in writing. One of the most pivotal college courses she took as a part of her minor was titled, Writing for Publication. This course and the two professors who taught it showed her that she could get published and should be submitting her stories. Naomi also published a poem in Eastern University’s literary magazine, Inklings and wrote her first 12 minute stage play for Eastern’s “New Play Workshop.” It too quite a bit of urging from her pears who really needed more writers, but in the end was a great experience.
Naomi is working on publication as well as writing freelance content for her clients. If you would like to work with Naomi for freelance writing, email her through her contact page. She is also an artist and you can see some of her work in her portfolio and contact her through the contact page for any commission pieces.
